Thomas Bricknell took his second win in three weeks in London Car Clubs fifty-ninth running on the Jacobean sporting trial, having started in 1946.
The morning offered very challenging slippery conditions which dried throughout the day with Roland Uglow holding a slender lead over Bricknell but he fell away in the afternoon to finish sixth. Steve Courts ended up second in a very close scoring day for the top ten. Since major modifications to his car last year Ian Veale finished a further point behind with John Fack a further mark adrift.
Dave Oliver had his best result yet in a sporting trial to win the intermediate class and take fifth overall. With Bricknell winning David Rance won the novice class but the star drive proved to be Bill Sherras in his first year taking thirteenth overall in a very competitive field.
