Ian Wright wins at Rolands....
Duncan Stephens lead the Robin Alexander sporting trial early on, continuing from where he finished twelve months previously but a few small mistakes meant that Ian Wright gained the lead that he gradually extended during the rest of the day. This was the first time that Wright had won the Robin Alexander trial. Peter Fensom drove steadily to beat the land owner Roland Uglow into third place but just two points. Monty Peters won the intermediate class and was once again highest live axle, ahead of Phil Yarwood. Mike Wevill excelled in the novice class to finish a brilliant twelve overall ahead of Arthur Carroll.
