Presidents Trophy - Southsea MC
Date: 25th March 2007
Ian Wright produced a fantastic drive to win the Presidents Trophy organised by Southsea Motor Club, taking a totally dominant win from Duncan Stephens.
Having forgotten the clock change, Wright lead the event from the first section obviously having enjoyed his extra hour in bed, proving to be totally untouchable in the woods. Initially John Ridley was the closest challenger, but having got used to John Fack’s car with the controls reversed in the morning Stephens eventually managed to secure second with three sections left.
Ridley gave the blue class away during the afternoon driving the wrong way handing the class and third overall to Kevin Rivers both driving Sherpa’s. David Rance produced another stunning drive in his maiden year to take tenth overall having had to repair a broken steering arm.
1 Ian Wright (Kincraft) 15, 2 Duncan Stephens (Crosslé) 54, 3 Kevin Rivers (Sherpa) 62, 4 John Ridley (Sherpa) 63, 5 Ian Veale (Sherpa) 74, 6 Stephen Barnes (Sherpa) 85, 7 Mike Readings (CAP) 86, 8 Julian Fack (X-Factor) 88, 9 Roger Anderson (CAP) 105, 10 David Rance (Crosslé) 110
