Duncan Stephens took his first win of the season ending John Fack’s perfect British title defence at 750MC new site at Langrish.

In driving rain Stephens and Fack soon proved to be the class of the field, testing engines to the limit. Stephens eventually took the lead and win late in the day from Fack with some very determined climbs. Fack, with 16yr old Jo Preston passengering for the first time, had a gentle roll on the fourth section, but soon jumped back in to complete the day despite a suspected broken hand. Steve Courts took third on a tie-break from Julian Fack who had spent the week converting his car to petrol from gas. Kevin Rivers won the blue class in his Sherpa. David Rance produced another superb drive to win the novice class to take seventh overall.
