Julian Fack borrowed his brother John’s championship winning Crossle and produced a demonstration drive to win the Jigger Jug from form northern Dave Martin.
Despite early electrical problems Fack was soon excelling in drying conditions despite his unfamiliarity with a right hand drive car. Martin has been the man to beat in the last six months in Cumbria and chased Fack but had to settle for second just ahead of Bill Rhodes. Phil Yarwood won the intermediate class ahead of last years winner Richard Waterhouse.
David Rance produced a stunning drive in only his second ever trial beating many regulars to take a fabulous seventh overall narrowly missing out on the novice award that went to Alistair McVittie.
1 Julian Fack (Crosslé) 62, 2 David Martin (Crosslé) 102, 3 Bill Rhodes (Cartwright) 105, 4 Phil Yarwood (Crosslé) 128, 5 Richard Waterhouse (Sherpa) 137, 6 Alistair McVittie (Crosslé) 142, 7 David Rance (Crosslé) 145, 8 Geoff Pickup (GPS) 146
