Reigning British champion John Fack started his title defence with a narrow victory from BTRDA® champion Duncan Stephens, both driving Crosslé’s.

Fack and Stephens dominated the trial from the first section with Fack taking an early lead. However Stephens put in a determined afternoon charge, with his new engine, to finish just two points behind, ending his run on four outright victories. Ian Wright’s Kincraft also had brilliant afternoon enabling him to secure third from Roland Uglow. Peter Fensom late run on car failures ended with a superb fifth overall. While Uglow taking the class for none-event winners comfortably ahead of Stephen Barnes, Anthony Lane won the novice class finishing an excellent fourteenth overall.
