Robin Jager - NPTCC
Date: 13th September 2009
Roger Bricknell won his first British championship sporting trial for two years in Cumbria on Sunday on the Robin Jager trial that opened the second half of the season. In very slippery condition on the bracken covered hills Bricknell excelled driving his thirty year old live-axle car against the modern technology of the majority of the field. John Fack, who has won this event the last three years, lost the trial on a tie break to Bricknell. MSA Championship leader Ian Wright was third, ahead of local competitor Dave Martin. Dave Rance won the intermediate class Monty Peters by two marks in sixth and seventh overall. Jeff Barton won the novice class.
