Presidents Trophy 2009

Ian Wright became the first person to win two trials in 2009 at the Presidents Trophy where son Kiel passengered for the first time since their win at the Gold Star in January.

Ian Wright won an extremely close low scoring and dry Presidents Trophy trial for the second time in three years. Second place was a three-way tie-break just one point behind with John Ridley winning the intermediate class from Ian Rodman, at Southsea's new venue near Petersfield. Dave Rance was leadind most of the day but two costly mistakes on the last three hills dropped him to ninth. David Zank won the novice class in fourteen. The lowest possible score for the day was zero, despite tyre pressures been raised from 3psi to 7psi at lunch.
