Geoff Taylor - Hagley & District Light Car Club
Date: 3rd February 2008
John Fack continued his recent run of success winning the Geoff Taylor trial ahead of the same top three as twelve months previously, in the first trial of the season.
John Fack and Duncan Stephens had a daylong battle for the outright win which Fack eventually won by three points. Ian Wright finished third in his new Sherpa, with Ian Veale fourth just ahead of Roland Uglow, who made a number of uncharacteristic mistakes. Richard Gowen won the intermediate class from Jerome Fack but could have finished fifth but for driving the wrong side of a costly six pole. Bill Sherras won the novice class with an excellent thirteenth overall following an excellent afternoon, from Ed Wells.
