Golden Springs Car Trial

Duncan Stephens eventually won the Golden Springs Car Trial, following a day long battle with reigning MSA champion Dave Oliver. Following a slow start on the first round Stephens went clear the rest of the day to just hold off Oliver who drove out of a section after lunch. Tim Lakin and Dave Smith completed a very tense day both climbing all the hills in the highly modified class with Lakin winning on a timed section. Derek Barnes won the new car class ahead of Barrie Parker and Nick Pollitt driving a Smart Roadster and BMW 1series respectively. 2009 Under 17 Car Club BTRDA Drive driver Sophie Bennett shared Stephens' Nova to win the class ahead of many seasoned competitors in only her third trial.
