MAS Car Trial

Date: 12th April 2008

With a waterlogged site entrance necessitating a change of venue just days before the event, Lee Matthews and Caernarvonshire & Anglesey Motor Club succeeded in putting on a varied event for both National and Clubsport entrants. Somehow, the weather over the site in the North of the island stayed free of rain for the duration of the trial, whilst the soft ground conditions made for challenging climbs!  With a mix of conventional and timed sections and the inimitable club atmosphere and enthusiasm, the event was enjoyed by one and all. None more so than Yorkshire's Rupert North, driving his usual Mini, as he pulled off his first National championship event win with consistently good driving and beating several past champions in the process.
