Dennis Wells Trial

Date: 13th April 2008

The "too good to be true" weather scenario caught up with day two of the Welsh Weekend with drizzle during the first round adding to the already spongy ground and making for extremely greasy sections. Predictably, this suited the blasting style of trialing, although trickling was effective in parts! Winning yet another car trial in his retirement years, Kidderminster's Malcolm Brown, driving his cherished Westfield, put on a spectacular performance against strong competition. In his award acceptance speech, Malcolm referred back to the late Dennis Wells, who had given him the encouragement to take up the sport after passengering for him.  A reminder to us all to help enthuse others!
