Basil Elkington Trial

Incredibly close battles all day in all 3 Classes for Sevenoaks' first ever MSA/BTRDA Car Trials Championship event, and a superb outright win for Richard Olsen's Citroen AX in slippery conditions and bright sunshine.
Dave Oliver and his Imp took the MSA Trophy after Steve Courts' Imp blew a head gasket early in the day, and current MSA Championship leader Nick Pollitt had to settle for a close-fought 2nd in Class 1 using a Micra at the last minute (his Saxo VTR having a broken diff after the previous event) where the top 4 were covered by a mere 8 marks, Chris Judge being a fighting 3rd in his Micra. The amazing Reliant Kitten of Andy Laing took 2nd in Class 3, and the 1275 GT Mini of Dennis Usmar Class 2.
