Warwickshire Drivers' Autosolo

Both Graeme Jones and Sophie Bennett win awards at BTRDA Drive's 2009 first AutoSolo...
The Warwickshire SOLO held at Night Owl Truck Stop near Crick was Graeme and Sophie's first autoSOLO, as part of the DRIVE 09 scheme. Following an intense training session at Stunt Drive UK both felt ready to handle this different style of driving.
Both drivers thoroughly enjoyed the day and drove exceptionally well on their first event. Despite just a couple of hours training Graeme achieved a magnificent result by coming third overall and second in class, in the process he beat both last year's BTRDA Autosolo champion and current championship leader.
Sophie improved hugely throughout the day as she mastered the use of the handbrake and gained confidence in the car. A brilliant drive resulted in her finishing eleventh overall and first in the ladies class. Both drivers took trophies home, a real achievement for the pair of them on their first event; a very promising start to their autoSOLO careers.
We would also like to thank all their fellow competitors for their help and advice making Graeme and Sophie feel welcome at their first autoSOLO event.
